Sonic Poppies

Sonic Poppies is a California-inspired retro-pop trio created as a musical storytelling project blending sunshine pop, soul, R&B, garage rock, and vintage girl-group harmonies. Drawing inspiration from the colorful collision of cultures that helped shape California music, Sonic Poppies exists in a world where surf towns meet desert highways, where classic soul records spin beside punk rock albums, and where three distinct personalities come together to create something entirely their own.

Part band, part mythology, and part visual art project, Sonic Poppies are recurring characters who appear throughout a growing collection of songs, stories, imagery, and album-inspired artwork. The trio serves as a creative lens through which themes of friendship, freedom, love, rebellion, heartbreak, humor, and California dreaming can be explored.
